My next photo session was at Hermann Park again Saturday morning. I had my trusty assistant Crystal with me again helping me out with lighting/setup. As soon as I showed up at the park that morning though, I worried about creating a variety of shots that weren't just imitations of my last photoshoot. We were shooting at the exact same locations as my last customers, so I wanted to avoid taking the same pictures as last time but with different people.
GQ Style
I try to come up with as many different shots as I can, but I think the key is just hanging out with the subjects, getting to know their personalities, and figuring out how to incorporate it into the photographs. It's also great when families like this one can give their input on photo ideas, most of which I would've never thought of.

Some of the best shots come 10 seconds before the "actual" shot (see picture below). I'm a big fan of natural/candid photography and personally find it WAY more interesting than those 15 minute studio portraits. They have AC but I have better pictures :P.
